LSUA Claims Second Red River Rivalry Title

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria Department of Athletics has clinched the 2024-25 Red River Rivalry over Louisiana Christian University and retains the Rotary Bridge Trophy.

The Generals are 9-0-2 against the Wildcats this academic year with just three events, a softball doubleheader and tennis dual, remaining on the schedule against LCU.

"We are excited the Rotary Bridge Trophy is staying home with us," LSUA Director of Athletics Tyler Unsicker said. "We are extremely proud of what our teams have accomplished in the Red River Rivalry this season. We 'd like to thank current Rotary President Melinda Anderson and Robert Taylor for their support in getting the Red River Rivalry going and sponsoring the Rotary Bridge Trophy."

A single point is awarded for a regular season victory in each sport. There are a total of 14 points available for the 2024-25 year. The school with the most points at the end of the academic year claims the Rotary Bridge Trophy.
