ALEXANDRIA, LA – The No. 8 Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team swept (RV) Lewis-Clark State College, 7-0.
The Generals (8-3, 4-0 RRAC) swept the doubles pairings.
Nahia Echaide and
Lucie Ivanova recorded a 6-2 win in the top pairing.
Joline Roesch and
Ekaterina Orlova notched a 6-4 win in the second spot.
Isabella Stuurman and
Jordan Dunbar recorded a 6-4 win to round out doubles.
In singles, LSUA won every match in straight sets. Echaide won 6-1, 6-0 over Lulu Monayoo. Stuurman recorded a 6-4, 6-1 win Rayana Shah in number two singles. Lucia Ivanova tallied a 6-3, 6-1 win over Naiara Montero in the third singles match. Roesch went 6-4, 6-3 in a win over Gwyn Heim. In number five singles, Orlova defeated Rylie Gettmann 6-3, 6-1.
Valeria Diaz notched a 6-2, 6-4 win against Carisa Liebenberg in number six singles.
The Generals take on No. 5 William Carey on Saturday, April 11, at 10:00 AM at the LSUA Tennis Courts.
