ALEXANDRIA, LA – The No. 8 Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team swept No. 23 Texas A&M-Texarkana, 4-0, on Senior Day.


 
The Generals (9-4, 5-0 RRAC) clinched the doubles point with wins in number two and three doubles. Valeria Diaz and Ekaterina Orlova recorded a 6-1 win over Emmanouela Besi and Adrianne Guangko in the second pairing while Isabella Stuurman and Esthella Valentina Gonzalez Saiza swept Andrea Castillo and Zahra Dreyer-Ferreira, 6-0.
 
In singles, LSUA rolled through the first three singles and clinched the match. Stuurman won 6-0, 6-1 over Dreyer-Ferriera. Lucie Ivanova followed with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Lucia Siddens in number three singles. Nahia Echaide won the clinching dual, 6-2, 6-2, over Ana Gonzalez in the top singles dual.
 
Joline Roesch, who was celebrated prior to first serve as the Generals' lone senior, was ahead 6-2, 4-1 in number four singles before the match was clinched.
