ALEXANDRIA - The LSUA Generals (3-3-1) squared off for the 2nd annual Red River Rivalry of Rapides ending in an even 0-0 draw against the LCU Wildcats (3-3-1).

"I was confident that we could get a positive result as long as we executed our game plan and took care of our own individual jobs which I felt we did for most part of the game", said Coach Mark Hammond, "Unfortunately, we lacked the final finish that our performance deserved to take all three points". 

The Generals kept a clean sheet the whole game but could not finish the opportunities to take the victory. Plenty of shots on target, just missed the back of the net. LCU kept a close game as the possession was even for both teams. 

"The big positive was our clean sheet today", continued Coach Hammond, "we limited the opposition to few chances and shooting from distance. I felt we defended well from the front today and as a defensive unit. LCU has creative players and we limited to very few chances which is a big plus". 

Coach Hammond prepares the Generals for their next match on Thursday, October 20th against the Southwest Mustangs at home.
