Texarkana TX -- The LSUA Generals were unable to hold on to an early 1-0 lead giving up two late goals to fall 2-1 against the LSUS Pilots in the RRAC semifinals.
After an evenly played first half that saw the Generals get four shots on goals, the score was 0-0 at the half.
The second half was a different story. Â Both teams came out with a lot of energy as the pace of the game picked up leading to and LSUA goal by
Danny Stevens in the opening five minutes of the half. Â Steven's goal put Generals up 1-0 and were able to hold on to their lead going into the final 20 minutes of the game.
In the 67th minute, the Pilot's James Averies played a ball into the box where Gledi Doda was able to flick the ball to the far post and where it glanced off the post and in to even the score. Â LSUS would continue the pressure on the Generals and got the go a head goal with just three minutes to play on a shot from Scott Neil.
The Generals end the year 7-7-4 and will look to build on a very successful season.
