Alexandria, LA- The LSUA women's basketball team took a break from playing on the road and got to play their first home game of the 2022-2023 basketball season against the #14 ranked Loyola Wolfpack out of New Orleans. However, the Generals were unable to defend The Fort, falling 43-98. 
 
The Generals came out with good start after the tip off, responding to the Wolfpacks opening layup with a lay from Ojoro and a three pointer from Jewel Jones that put the Generals leading 5-2. However, the Wolfpack did not let the Generals hold the lead long and took over at the 8:00 minute mark of the first quarter maintaining the lead for the remainder of the game. 
 
Offensively the Generals only shot 28% on the night. Leading scorers were Alex Harrison with 10 points and Raegan Ojoro with 7 points. The Generals also had 18 turnovers on the night compared to the Wolfpacks 8. Loyola also came in with a lot of size, out rebounding the Generals 38-21. 
 
The Generals will look to get back into the winning column as they begin conference play December 1^st on the road at Huston Tillotson. Tip-off is set for 5:00 PM.
