WACO, TX - Three LSUA Generals Soccer players received RRAC player of the week awards for their efforts in a couple of tournament wins over the weekend.

Freshman Alexia Bermejo was recognized as the Women's soccer offensive player of the week.  Bermejo scored two goals in the Generals 5-2 win over Texas A&M San Antonio.  Her goals game in the third and 50th minutes, with her early goal setting the stage for a 4-0 halftime lead.  On the season Alexia now has three goals and six assists on the season leading the Generals to a semifinal showdown with UHV on Thursday at 1:30.

On the Men's side, Senior Daniel Torrenegra earned his second offensive player of the week award and Sophomore Valeriu Tarlev earned defensive player of the week.  Torrenegra scored twice in a 2-1 road victory over Texas A&M San Antonio giving him 11 goals on the season, third in the RRAC.  Tarlev made 6 of 7 saves on Saturday, with two big saves in the closing minutes to help the Generals advance to play LSUS on Thursday in Texarkana Texas at 5:00pm
