WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - Generals fall to Williams Baptist in a 1-0 defeat on Saturday.
The LSUA Generals battled it out yesterday against the Williams Baptist Eagles. With only one shot in the first half the Generals were pressured the entire game. Though the second half allowed the Generals four opportunities at the goal, they were unable to finish the job and fell to the Eagles after an intense game where 17 fouls and 3 yellow cards were called.
At the 74 minute mark, the Eagles scored after a cross over by Gabriel Otero giving the Eagles the advantage. Williams Baptist was able to remain strong and hold the Generals at zero to secure a win.
After the game coach Poropat gave us a few words:
"Tough matchup on the road. Observed some things that we can improve. We'll train this week & prepare for our next opponent."
The Generals will continue their season with the men traveling to ST. LOUIS, MO, Friday, September 2nd against MISSOURI BAPTIST.
The next home game will be Friday, September 9th, against John Melvin University at 3:00pm.
