McKenzie, TN — LSUA Men's soccer (0-1-2) team visited the Bethel Wildcats (3-0-1) on Monday afternoon losing 5-0.
It was a rough start for the Generals against the home team, with several missed opportunities to go forward, LSUA took on an entire 30 minutes of pressure in the first half before being able to get off their first shot on goal by Juan Dorta.
The opening goal for the Wildcats came in the first half with 9 minutes left on the clock. After a corner by Milos Stajkovic, Mountaga Sall was able to head the ball in, giving Bethel the lead going into halftime 1-0.
At the beginning of the second half the Generals were again put into defensive mode and not able to play their game. The Wildcats were able to score two quick goals to give themselves a comfortable 3-0 lead. LSUA was never able to get anything going in the second half, surrendering 2 more goals for a final score of 5-0. On the game, the Generals were outshoot 17 to 2.
The Generals now head home for their home opener against John Melvin University on Sep 9th at 3pm at Generals Field.
