ALEXANDRIA, LA- Generals now have a 3-0 record against LCU since the Wildcats joined the RRAC last season thanks to an 89-86 win at The Fort for the first match up between the two teams for the 22-23 season.Â

With the Fort packed wall to wall, the Generals and Wildcats put on a show.Â

Wildcats, Jude Akabueze, able to start the game off with a dunk, but Generals were able to quickly answer back and managed to go on a huge run during the first half, leading by 16 going into half-time 47-31.Â

With the 2
nd half of basketball underway, with 5:18 left in the game to play the Generals led 83-66, but the Wildcats were able to get back in the game by going on a huge run with the help of free-throws and 3 three-pointers.

Kashie Natt to the line for the Generals. After sinking both free-throws, the score is now 89-86. The Wildcats with the opportunity to tie the game and send the Generals in the overtime was missed as Wildcats, Delor Johnson, was not able to get the shot off in time at the buzzard.Â

Kashie Natt was in his bag against the Wildcats as he scored 24 points and was big on the glass grabbing 13 rebounds. The Generals were also able to see another big performance from
Mitchell Seraille as he contributed 14 points going 7-8 from the field. Seraille also able to grab 6 boards as the Generals were able to out rebound the Wildcats 38-33.Â

The Generals will be looking to keep the 4-game win streak alive as they will be back at home Thursday, January 18
th against Huston-Tillotson. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM.Â
