NEW ORLEANS, LA- The Generals six game win streak came to an end tonight as Xavier came out on top with the 64-51 win over the Generals.
 
The Generals came out flat during the 1^st half of play as the Gold Rush was able to go on a 9-0 run to start the first before Jason Perry was able to respond and get the Generals on the board. 
 
Despite the 14 turnovers for the Generals in the first half of play, they went into the locker room at halftime only down by four against the Gold Rush with a score of 25-29. Coming out into the second half of play, the Generals tried to come back and were within arm's reach cutting Xaiver's lead in to single digits, but offensively the Generals were cold as they shot a 32% on the night. 
 
However, Lapoole was big for the Generals on the night as he was able to score 11 points and also led in rebounds on the night, grabbing 7 of the Generals 37 total boards. Seraille, Allen, and Natt were also able to contribute 7 points apiece for the team. 
 
The Generals will look to bounce back as they take on Red River Rivals, the LCU Wildcats, for their second matchup of the season. The game will be at LCU and tip-off is set for 4:00 PM.
