ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals closed out conference play before Christmas break with a match up at home against the Tigers of Paul Quinn College, scoring their highest offensively in a 100-57 win.
During the first period of play, the Tigers of Paul Quinn took advantage of the Generals cold shooting jumping out to a 23-18 lead, but Generals poured in 31 points during the second period and held the Tigers to only 8 points going into half time leading 49-31.
Momentum didn't stop after halftime as the Generals would go on to score over 20 points in the 3
rd and 4
thperiod to secure their win.
The Generals forced 24 turnovers on the Tigers and out-rebounded them 45-16. Leading in rebounds, going for another double-double this season was Senior,
Raegan Ojoro. Ojoro snatched 16 rebounds, 12 of which were defensive, and poured in 13 points.
Junior,
Jewel Jones, had another break out game as she poured in 21 points on the night with the help of four made three-point shots. Aside from Ojoro and Jones, three other Generals saw double digits figures.
The Generals will enjoy a short and restful Christmas break before returning to play against the Rams of the University of Mobile for a non-conference match up. Tip-off is set for 12:00 PM on December 30
th.
