ALEXANDRIA, LA-In day one of the LCU Tournament the Generals faced Williams Woods University and Missouri Baptist, splitting the day 1-1.

In game one against the Owls of William Woods, the Generals came out on top with a 6-0 win.
Taylor Spencer started off on the mound pitching a total of seven innings picking up her first win on the season. The Generals bats didn't get hot until the 6
thĀ inning of the game when a double by
Haley Fontenot drove in
Amber Giddens to put the Generals on the scoreboard. Generals scored all 6 of their runs in the 6
thĀ inning.Ā

Game two for the Generals resulted in a 2-4 loss against Missouri Baptist. The Spartans were able to get started early in the game as they scored 2 of their 4 runs in the first inning, but the Generals were able to answer back in the second inning with two runs of their own, making it a tied ball game. It wasn't until the 5
thinning when Spartans, Sievers, hit a homerun with teammate Achs on base to lift them 4-2 over the Generals.

One day two of the LCU tournament (Feb. 4
th) the Generals will face Blue Mountain University at 10:00 AM and Stephens College at 12:15 PM.
