Generals Overcome 0-2 Deficit to Tie Bulldogs

ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals were looking at a four-game win streak, however the Bulldogs from Jarvis Christian University did not come to make things easy for the Generals as they drew a 2-2 tie. 
 
Bulldogs were able to draw blood quick as they scored their first goal within the first five minutes of play and then again before halftime. The Bulldogs even had the opportunity to go into halftime up three, but a Tarlev penalty kick save held them at only two.
 
Coming out of half now down 0-2, the Generals had to get moving quick. Manuel Concetti took one for the team drawing a foul on the Bulldogs that earned the Generals a penalty shot. Jaime Salinas stepped up for the shot and delivered perfectly cutting the Bulldogs lead down to one goal. 
 
With the momentum in favor of the Generals and the clock winding down, it was Tomas Cabrera who sent a thunderbolt into the goal putting the score at 2-2. The Generals didn't have much time left as they tried to strike one more time to come out with the win, however they had to settle for the tie.
 
The Generals will travel to Shreveport after being at home to take on the Pilots of LSUS in more conference play. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM on October 5th.
