ALEXANDRIA, LA-After taking down the Eagles of Texas A&M-Texarkana with a 61-49 win, the Generals move to 14-4 overall and 11-2 in conference play.
Starting off the first quarter neck and neck, the Generals were able to pull away by double-digits in the second quarter.
The Generals scored 19 of their 61 points off Eagles' turnovers and were able to out-rebound them 37-32. Generals also saw help off the bench as freshman,
Blair Smith, poured in 15 points coming out the leading score for the Generals.
Jewel Jones and
Benedetta Peracchi also saw double-digit figures for the game as Jones hit 3 shots from behind the arch.
The Generals will now be preparing to take the long road trip down to Hobbs, NM for a match up with the Mustangs of the University of the Southwest. Tip-off on February 1
st is set for 5:30 PM.
