PIEDMONT, OK-The Generals started off their 2024 campaign with a trip to Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma City Stars for a three-game series.
GAME ONE: LSUA 11, OKC 12
The Generals got the bats started early putting up 9 runs compared to the three runs OCU put up. However, in the 5
th inning the Stars were able to add in run after run while the Generals bats grew cold.
Zach Mengarelli and
Blaise Foote led at the plate as they both saw four at bats getting three hits apiece.
Peyton Marcantel also helped the Generals with four RBIs.
GAME TWO: LSUA 4, OKC 7
OCU started game two of the series with the hot bat as they homered in the first inning to get on the board and their third inning spark of five unanswered runs was enough to seal the win as the Generals were only able to score four runs.
The Generals will play their final game against the Stars on Monday at 11:00 AM.
