TYLER, TX- The Generals started their new year taking care of business as they continued RRAC play taking on the Steers of Texas College, coming out with the 83-74 victory.
Despite a close and scrappy match up, the Generals were able to play well rounded basketball as five Generals were in double-digit figures.
Benedetta Peracchi led the way with 16 points. Perracchi shot 4-9 from the field and a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line. Junior guard,
Amani Gray also poured in 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Senior,
Raegan Ojoro, collected yet another double-double this season with 10 points and 11 rebounds as freshman,
Blair Smith, had a break out game following suit to Ojoro with 15 points 11 rebounds.
Head Coach, Billy Perkins, compliments his team for taking better care of the ball and crashing the boards as the Generals out-rebounded the Steers 42-30.
The Generals will continue their long road stretch as they will be back on the road Saturday, January 6
th for more RRAC play, taking on the Bulldogs of Jarvis Christian College. Tip-off for 2:00 PM.
