ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's soccer teams hosts Texas A&M-Texarkana in the Opening Round of the 2024 RRAC Championship.
"A massive game this Thursday," LSUA Head Coach Mark Hamond said. "We know the quality that TAMUT have but our squad is ready and looking forward to the game. We played out a really competitive draw last time out and we know that we can expect another battle in the quarter final."
The Generals finished the regular season with a pair of clean sheet victories over Xavier (La.) and North American University.
LSUA enters as the No. 4 seed, while Texas A&M Texarkana is the No. 5 seed.Kick-off is scheduled for noon on Thursday, November 7.
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M-TEXARKANA
The Eagles finished the regular season with a 13-3-1 overall record and a 9-3-1 mark in RRAC play. They have won their last two matches and are 5-2-1 away from home.
TAMUT has totaled 82 goals on the season, 59 of which came in RRAC play. Rylie Williams leads the Eagles' offense with 15 goals and eight assists. Behind her is Desiree Narvaez with 13 goals and 12 assists. Brooklyn Lattier has recorded 11 goals and nine assists. The Eagles have 11 other players who have scored at least two goals on the season.
In goal, Ivana Robinson has handled the majority of the Eagles' matches. She has made 13 starts and accumulated 990 minutes of action. Robinson has allowed 11 goals, made 42 saves, and posted four clean sheets. She holds a goals against average of 1.00. The Eagles have allowed just 13 goals on the season.

Sacha Backus scored an equalizing goal in the dying seconds to force a 3-3 draw.
The Eagles went ahead 2-0 on a pair of goals from Narvaez and Emma Contreras. Alexia Bemejo Jo halved the deficit in the 22
nd minute but it wasn't until the 84
th minute when the Generals pulled even on a goal from
Micaela Nunes.
A minute after Nunes' goal, Narvaez put the Eagles ahead 3-2 until Bacchus forced an impasse.
