ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball team takes on Texas A&M-San Antonio and Our Lady of the Lake in a pair of Red River Athletic Conference road games.
 
"We will be playing two solid teams," LSUA Head Coach Billy Perkins said. "Both teams are well-coached and play hard. This will be a good challenge as we close out the first half of the season."
 
The Generals split their games last week against Huston-Tillotson and North American University.
 
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M-SAN ANTONIO
The Jaguars are 9-3 overall and 6-2 in RRAC play. They are 5-0 at home and won their last game, 83-64, over Our Lady of the Lake.
 
TAMUSA is averaging 79.3 points per game and shooting 40.0 percent from the floor as a unit. Evelyn Lorenzo leads the Jaguars in scoring, averaging 19.1 points per game. Natalia Trevino is right behind her at 19.0. Maya Simon rounds out the double-digit scorers, putting up 12.3 points per night. All three players are shooting at least 43 percent from the floor. Trevino leads the Jaguars with a shooting percentage of 45.5 percent. She also leads TAMUSA behind the three-point line at 39.7 percent.
 
Trevino also leads the Jaguars with 63 rebounds. Simon is just two behind her at 61.
 
This is the first ever meeting between Texas A&M-San Antonio and LSUA. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM on Thursday, December 19.

SCOUTING OUR LADY OF THE LAKE
The Saints are 6-5 overall and 4-4 in RRAC play. They fell to TAMUSA last week, 83-64.
 
Our Lady of the Lake is averaging 66.9 points per game and shooting 43.3 percent from the floor as a unit. Julia Plata leads the Saints in scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game. Carlea Owens (12.2) and Samantha Fields (10.9) round out the top three scorers for the Saints. Owens leads OLLU with a shooting percentage of 53.3. Plata is shooting 40.8 percent from the floor, while Fields is at 35.1 percent.
 
Alexandra Westerdijk Martin leads the Saints' rebounding efforts, hauling in eight rebounds per game.
 
The Generals are 5-13 all-time against the Saints. They have won the last four meetings. LSUA earned their first road victory over OLLU last season, 62-54.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 21.
