ALEXANDRIA, LA-The Generals are back in the win column moving to 17-5 overall and 14-3 in RRAC play after beating the Stallions of North American University.
Starting off cold in the first period of play the Generals only led the Stallions 16-15, but quickly warmed up in the second dropping 33 points and running off with a strong lead at the half with a score of 49-26. The Generals went on to outscore the Stallions the remaining two periods to close out the game.
All around team basketball was played as freshman,
Blair Smith, led the way with 16 points and
Amani Gray followed up with 15 of her own. The Generals bench as a whole chipped in 33 points. In a battle of the boards, the Generals out rebounded the Stallions 44-29 and defensively, they forced 23 Stallion turnovers.
The Generals will be on the road next as they travel to San Antonio, TX to take on the Saints of Our Lady of the Lake on February 15
th. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM.
