Generals Survive Cold Bats, Escape Elimination Game

CHICKASHA, OK- The Generals started their race for the Red Banner in Chickasha, OK where they faced the Warriors of Midland falling 0-2 but surviving and advancing in their game against Friends to stay alive.

LSUA 0, MIDLAND 2
The Generals were unlike themselves as they took on the Warriors from Midland University where they couldn't seem to connect to the ball leaving with no hits on the day.

Taylor Spencer worked in the circle, pitching all seven innings, and finishing with only one walk and 4 strikeouts.

LSUA 1, FRIENDS 0
The Generals began to shake off opening round jitters as they took on the Falcons of Friends University. Both teams battled back and forth going hitless until the 5th innings where a Haley Fontenot and Madi Baker duo scored the first and only run. Fontenot singled as Bailey Layton laid down the sacrifice bunt to advance Fontenot to second base with Madi Baker on deck. Baker then delivered a hard hit single up the middle to advance Fontenot home.

Primrose moved to 16-4 on the season as she pitched all seven innings of play allowing on five hits and striking out two.

Next up, the Generals will play Baker University at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, May 15th
