LAFAYETTE, LA – The (RV) Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball team dropped its exhibition against the University of Louisiana.
"The girls have been working hard on getting better at executing our half court sets," LSUA Head Coach Billy Perkins said. "When you play against a Division I team or someone that's a little bit faster and bigger, sometimes it takes you out of sync. But overall, I thought we did a good job on the offensive end. On the defensive end, we were just trying to change it up, just to kind of be better at what we need to for the next game."
The Generals knocked down 40-percent of their shots in the first quarter and 41.7-percent of their chances in the second.
Justice Young and
Sydney Person led LSUA with eight points each.
Reese Stephens and
McKayla Price each recorded seven points. Price hauled in a team-high six rebounds.
LSUA opens their regular season on October 31 at the Texas Wesleyan Classic against Oklahoma Wesleyan University at 5:00 PM.
