The Rams (3-1) were led by Naia Richardson and Kameryn Phillips who scored 15 and 14 points, respectively.

"The team did a better job of controlling the tempo," LSUA Head Coach Billy Perkins said. "I'm very proud of our effort and rebounding."

Texas Wesleyan held a slim advantage through the majority of the game, including leading 31-26 at halftime. The Generals out scored the Rams 19-14 in the third quarter, tying the game heading into the final stanza.

Just three minutes into the fourth, the Rams took a 51-47 lead. Back-to-back jumpers from Person and Courtlynn Rideau tied the game at 51-51. A quick three points from the Rams was answered with another jumper from Person and a free throw from Reese Stephens.
