PREVIEW | (RV) Men's Soccer Hosts Southwest (N.M.), Texas College in RRAC Opening Week

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The  (RV) Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's soccer team opens Red River Athletic Conference play at home against University of the Southwest (N.M.) and Texas College.

THE GENERALS
The Generals are off to a 5-1-0 start on the season, the best start in the program's history. They have received votes in the last two NAIA Top 25 Coaches Polls.
 
LSUA recorded a 4-0 win over Wiley in their final non-conference match. Gabriel Marin scored the game-winning goal in just the fourth minute.
 
Pablo Dominguez de Leon picked up a goal and an assist in the win. He leads the Generals with three goals.
 
Charlie Young made his LSUA debut against Wiley. He and Ivan Capurro combined to shutout the Wildcats.
 
SCOUTING SOUTHWEST (N.M.)
The Mustangs enter the week at 1-2-1 on the year. They drew against Oklahoma Panhandle, 0-0, in their last outing.
 
Jose Attong and Juan Perez have each scored for the Mustangs. Southwest has recorded nine goals and allowed seven.
 
LSUA is 7-0-1 against the Mustangs and have won the last five meetings. The Generals are 5-0-1 when playing at home. Last season, LSUA picked up a 3-2 victory in Hobbs, New Mexico.
 
SCOUTING TEXAS COLLEGE
The Steers are 0-3-0 on the year.
 
Their lone goal through three games was scored by Omar El Amrani.
 
LSUA is 9-1-0 against Texas College all-time. They are 5-0-0 when playing at home. The Generals captured a 5-1 win over TC in 2024.
 
FAN INFORMATION
Admission to men's soccer games for spectators is free. The Generals Soccer Field is located on the back of LSUA's campus between Acorn Drive, Middleton Drive, and Tom Bowman Drive. Seating is located on the south side of the field.
 
Thursday's game is SPERO Day. Students in LSUA's SPERO program will walk-out with the team and be recognized. Saturday's match is International Students Day. LSUA students from around the world will be recognized at halftime.
