Box Score SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball team opened their two-game road trip with a 63-55 win over Our Lady of the Lake University.
"I'm proud of our girls," LSUA Head Women's Basketball Coach Billy Perkins said. "For staying with the game plan and their effort on defense. Tonight was a good team win."
The Generals (6-7, 5-3 RRAC) were led by
Reese Stephens and
Kelly Norris who both scored 15 points. Stephens finished 6-for-10 from the field, while Norris knocked down all six of her chances.
Justice Young recorded eight points and 10 rebounds in the win.
LSUA led for 26:11 over the course of the contest. They scored 38 points in the paint and the bench recorded 17 points. They held OLLU (3-12, 2-7 RRAC) to just 22 points in the paint and two points off fast breaks.
Shayla Dede was the only Saint in double digits, finishing with 15 points.
The Generals are on the road again on Saturday, January 10, when they take on Texas A&M-San Antonio at 1:00 PM.
