ALEXANDRIA, LA – The No. 8 Louisiana University of Alexandria women's tennis team swept Florida National University, 4-0.
 
The Generals (6-3) captured the doubles point with a pair of wins. Nahia Echaide and Lucie Ivanova took down Valeria Labrador Perez and Celeste Agustina Deniz Reyes, 6-0, in the top pairing. Isabella Stuurman and Esthella Valentina Gonzalez Saiza recorded a 6-2 victory over Julia Chodkowska and Julieta Azul Deniz Reyes.
 
Echaide claimed a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Labrador Perez in the top singles dual. The No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches were forfeited by Florida National.
 
Ivnaova was ahead 7-5, 4-1 in No. 3 singles before Echaide clinched the match. Stuurman was also ahead 6-1, 4-3.


LSUA takes on Louisiana Christian University on Tuesday on March 31 at 1:00 PM at the LSUA Tennis Courts.
