HAWKINS, TX – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team opened their three-game series against Jarvis Christian University with a 17-8 win.
The Generals (23-10, 12-4 RRAC) scored in six separate innings, three of which saw crooked numbers. LSUA scored a game-high six runs in the third. They also scored four runs in both the eighth and ninth innings.
Jack Cowan (1-0) earned the win on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings of shutout relief. He allowed just three hits.
Landon Langley and
Trevor Dooley each drove in four runs.
Brett Batteford,
Lane Kratzer, and
Fischer Einkauf drove in a pair each. Cade LaBruyere tallied two hits. The Generals worked 11 walks as a team.
LSUA is back in action tomorrow, March 28, for a doubleheader starting at noon.
