Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

(RV) Men's Soccer Blanks Oklahoma City, 4-0

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The (RV) Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's soccer team shutout Oklahoma City University, 4-0.
 

 
The game was called in the 71st minute due to lightning in the area.
 
The Generals (4-1-2) held the Stars (1-4-2) to just four shots, two in each half. LSUA recorded 11 shots, six of which were on goal.
 
Zac le Stavri registered his first goal of the season in the 20th minute. He headed home a cross from Juan Buitrago.
 

 
Ben McCarron was the next to score. He converted a penalty in the 28th minute.
 

 
LSUA took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Jayden Peglar made a pair of first half saves and was not called upon in the second half.
 
Just over two minutes into the second half, Lucas O'Donnell finished a strike off a pass from le Stavri.
 

 
Javier Hernandez finished the scoring in the 62nd minute, cleaning up a rebound for the 4-0 lead.
 

 
Mother Nature decided to intervene as lightning forced a stoppage in the 70th minute. It persisted enough for the game to be called.
 
LSUA is back at home on Thursday, September 17, to host Mid-America Christian University in their final non-conference match. Kick-off is slated for 1:30 PM.
