ALEXANDRIA, La. – The (RV) Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's soccer team shut out the University of the Southwest (N.M.), 5-0.
The Generals (6-1-3, 2-0-0 RRAC) out shot the Mustangs (3-2-5, 0-1-1 RRAC) 21-6.
Lucas O'Donnell found the back of the net first off a long aerial ball from
Takumi Hirose.
Javier Hernandez then doubled the lead in the 18
th minute.
Genis Alcaide Armengol sent a ball into the 18 in the 31
st minute and chaos ensued. The loose ball went over the line for a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.
In the second half,
Archie Sugg scored his first of the season.
Carmine Dennis then notched the Generals' final goal off a quick free kick taken by
Ben McCarron.
The Generals are on the road next week against Our Lady of the Lake University and Texas A&M-San Antonio.
