Kyle Thorne returns to LSUA, starting his first season as an assistant coach.

A member of the first two LSUA basketball squads in the 2014-15 & 2015-16 seasons, Thorne was a key reserve during LSUA's quick ascent from brand new program to NAIA national power, appearing in 27 games during those seasons and averaged more than a point per game on 35.5% shooting. He saved his best for last, putting up a career high 13 points on his senior day in a home win over Paul Quinn.

After leaving LSUA, Thorne went to Louisiana Tech where he served as a graduate assistant for the Bulldogs, assisting with workouts, practice, edited scouting videos, & set up for recruit visits.

The Tioga native was LSUA's Champions of Character award winner in 2016. He graduated with a degree in general studies with a focus on kinesiology from LSUA in 2016 and received his master's degree in kinesiology from Louisiana Tech in 2018.
