Tyler Sobey begins his first season as an assistant coach on the LSUA men's basketball staff.

Sobey, a native of Gilmer, Texas, comes to LSUA from the University of Arkansas, where he worked as a student manager for the Razorbacks. He helped set up for practice and assisted with gameday operations, as well as prepare film for coach and team review. He also assisted with preparing team travel for road trips. During the offseasons, he would work at the Mike Anderson Basketball Camps, helping coach young players and develop their skills.

Sobey got a bachelor's degree in both communications and political science from Arkansas, where he served as a cultural ambassador and was on the philanthropy committee.
