Young joined the Generals staff in 2022 as the Interim Head Coach, before being permanently tabbed as the Head Men's Soccer Coach following the 2022 season.
The Generals posted a 12-5-3 record, including a mark of 9-1-3 in RRAC play, under Young in 2024. Joshua Angel Craven set a single season record in assists (!1) and remained atop the NAIA leader board for a majority of the season. Alfie Lee, Pablo Dominguez de Leon, and Angel Craven earned All-RRAC First Team selections. Valeriu Tarlev was named Second Team All-RRAC and Rhys Fuller earned All-RRAC Honorable Mention.
In 2023, Young led LSUA to an 8-7-3 record. The Generals finished 7-3-3 in RRAC play. Jaime Salinas (Second Team), Adam Sherwood (Honorable Mention), Famade Bamba (Honorable Mention), and Valeriu Tarlev (Honorable Mention) earned All-RRAC selections. Sherwood was also named to the All-Freshman Team alongside Tomas Cabrera. Abram Baker was selected to the Champions of Character Team.
He began as the Interim Head Coach during the 2022 season, guiding LSUA to a 5-3-3 record in RRAC play. Young recorded his first victory as the Generals' bench boss on September 24, 2022 with a 5-1 win over Huston Tillotson. He led the Generals to a 2-1 victory over Texas A&M University-San Antonio in the opening round of the RRAC tournament. Daniel Torrenegra (First Team), Juan Dorta (Second Team), Keelin Foley (Second Team), and Valeriu Tarlev (Honorable Mention) earned All-RRAC honors. Rhys Fuller was selected to the Champions of Character Team.
