Annalyn Burch

Annalyn Burch just finished her fourth season as the co-head coach, with her husband Adam, of the LSUA softball team, and sixth head coach in program history.

In the 2021 season, she helped lead the Generals to a 22-14 record with a 15-3 RRAC record, which tied them for the regular season conference crown.

Burch continued to build off the success of the LSUA softball team, going 26-14 in her inaugural season at the helm of LSUA, bringing the Generals a share of the RRAC's regular season championship for the third time in the Generals' four seasons since joining the conference, doing so with an 18-6 mark in conference play.

She brings a wealth of college softball experience to the Generals, having played major Division I softball at the University of Arizona where she played under Olympic gold medal and NCAA National Championship-winning coach Mike Candrea and learned under Olympic gold medalist and NCAA All-American Nancy Evans as her position coach. She was part of the Pac-10 Champion Wildcat team in 2004, before finishing up her education and playing career at the University of North Texas.

After graduation, she moved to Natchitoches where she served as the pitching coach at Northwestern State University. She managed the Demon pitching staff and also served as the team's recruiting director in her two seasons at NSU.

Following that, she and Adam went to Florien High where the two built up the Blackcat softball program from a team that wasn't considered for votes of a top team in the state to a Class B powerhouse through the development of a junior high and junior varsity program that eventually led to multiple state championships for the program.

Annalyn and Adam's first taste of collegiate head coaching experience came at the NCAA Division II level when they took over the program at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa. The pair took over a fledgling Falcon team and brought them to the postseason each of their three seasons at UTPB, and tied the program record for wins in a single season in 2012.

Annalyn and Adam have worked together to develop a vast softball training program all throughout the state of Louisiana, providing a chance for many up and coming players to develop their skills. That network has culminated in the opening of a softball training center in Sabine Parish, which Annalyn runs the day-to-day operations of still today.

Annalyn graduated from Northwestern State University. The Burches now live in Alexandria with their four children; Addalyn, Aiden, Asher, & Ashlyn.
