ALEXANDRIA - On a wet day in Howkins Texas, the Generals escaped with a 1-0 victory over Jarvis Christian College securing a spot in the upcoming RRAC tournament.
Heavy rain on Friday night into Saturday made the recently renovated field at Jarvis Christian extremely wet. With less than ideal circumstances and field conditions the Generals put forth a gutsy effort to hold on for their second consecutive road victory.
The lone goal came about midway through the first half when
Chaz Badeaux scored on an assist from
Juan Dorta. That would be all LSUA needed as they would hold on for the 1-0 victory. The conditions were so wet in portions of the field that balls would come to a complete stop making it difficult for both teams to get into a rhythem. Â
The win secures a spot in the upcoming Red River Athletic Conference Tournament for the Generals who won the tournament 2 years ago and lost in overtime last year in the final. The Generals will be traveling to San Antonio to take on the Texas A&M San Antonio on Saturday November 5th.
