The Lady Generals take home the 2022 Derby victory against the Pilots. 

LSUA women's soccer team (3-2) came back to Alexandria with a win against the Lady Pilots (1-1-3) from Shreveport. This rivalry game was a tough fight for both teams from the starting whistle to the end. A quick goal by Charlotte Maconachie in the first five minutes gave the Lady Generals an early advantage of 1-0.

The forward had a few words to say about her second fastest goal of the season and her first derby experience as a General:

"The levels of intensity from both teams, right from the first whistle made for a highly charged game. I was delighted to open the scoring inside the first five minutes. The team delivered a strong, committed performance culminating in a convincing win. It was a great day to be a General, and a great first derby experience."

It was a battle physically and mentally but the Generals were able to come out on top. The Pilots were able to find the back of the net twice but that was not enough to overcome. The focus and attitude LSUA displayed resulted in a 3-2 victory on the road for the Generals.
