The Generals played an intense game against the Texarkana Eagles. The game was in favor of the Generals as they opened the score with a penalty kick, scored by Daniel Torrenegra in the first half. Daniel, a key player for the Generals, scored his third penalty kick for the season making him one of the top scorers for the Generals this season. Torrenegra had a few words to say about it:

"Scoring is a great feeling but helping the team is more important and I felt like it helped our confidence to keep attacking".

The Generals held down the game with many more chances to score but could not find the back of the net. They ended up falling short in the last minute of the game when a hand ball in the box gave The Eagles a penalty kick, making it 1-1 by the end of regulation. Torrenegra watched from the sideline as Texarkana finished the penalty kick. He shared his thoughts on what happened:

"This game does not define us. We hope to look back some weeks from now and see this game as a turning point. Two seasons ago we lost the first five games and still became tournament champions. As a team we had an honest talk yesterday and we know we have enough time to fix our game. It is about trusting each other and the coaching staff from now on".

The Generals will spend the week preparing for their cross-town rival, the LCU Wildcats, who they will face on Saturday, October 15th at home.
