New Orleans- Tonight the Generals looked to get back into to the winning column against the SUNO Knights, and that's just what they did winning 69-67 improving to 5-1 on the 2022-2023 basketball season.
The Generals did not have their best game tonight, despite pulling off the win. Normally a hot shooting team, they only shot 2-18 from the 3-point range and overall, they shot 39%. Another big thing that kept the game close between the Generals and the SUNO Knights, was the Generals turning the ball over 28 times.
However, despite the Generals having an off offensive night, they dominated on the glass out rebounding the Knights 52-49. The Generals also had 10 blocks, which came from Mitchell Seraille and Joe Ayo each getting 5 a piece.
Leading scorer on the night for the Generals was,
Jakemin Abney who lead with 20 points going 5-12 from the field and 10-11 from the free throw line.
For the Generals next game, they will be hosting SUNO at The Fort on November 28
th. Tip-off is set for 6:00 PM.
