Alexandria, LA- The Generals improved to 7-1 on the 2022-2023 basketball season as they faced the SUNO Knights at The Fort, coming out with the win, 95-77.

The Generals recently faced the Knights in New Orleans at The Castle, only winning 69-67, so coming back home they had only one thing in mind, defend The Fort. Coming out of the tip both teams brought the intensity, but it was the Generals who got on the board first and kept the lead for the rest of the game.Â

Jeremy Richard had a huge night for the Generals scoring 21 points going 9-12 from the field and 1-2 from the 3-point range. When asked about his performance, Richard gave a lot of credit to his teammates stating, "I felt like my teammates made the right decisions and did a great job spacing and creating lanes for me to score".Â

Another big General of the night was Kashie Natt who had a double-double with 11 rebounds and 18 points. Overall, the Generals shot 52% from the field which is a major improvement from the 39% they shot while facing SUNO in New Orleans.Â
