The LSUA men's basketball team dominated in their last home game at the Fort before their road battle begins, improving to 3-0 this season as they defeated the ETBU Tigers, 92-67.
Â
The Generals played all around team basketball tonight averaging a shooting percentage of 58% with the help of guard, David Favorite who lead in assist, finding his teammates at just the right time. Defensively, the floor General goes to Mitchell Seraille, who was able to out battle the Tigers down low and grab 8 of the 39 boards for LSUA. Seraille, also lead in blocks for the Generals.Â
Â
A familiar name for the Generals,
Jakemin Abney, lead the team with 21 points. Abney stated, "I played well on both ends of the floor but could've been better with my decision making offensively." Kashie Natt also had another good night, contributing 18 points going 2-2 from three and following Seraille's 8 boards with 5 of his own.Â
Â
The Generals were able to start strong at home but will play their next three games on the road before returning to the Fort on the 28
th of November. "It's good going 3-0 at home to start," said Abney, "but we have to realize that's over now, and find ways to be better on both ends of the floor consistently, especially on the road."
Â
The team will be taking on Freed Hardeman next in Henderson, TN on November 12
th. Tip off for the game is scheduled for 2:00 PM.Â
