Alexandria, LA- The Generals were back at The Fort for more conference play against a very well coached, Paul Quinn team. Generals were able to come out on top, now 1-3 in conference with their 68-56 win over the Tigers.

The Tigers went on a 6-0 run to start off the first half before the Generals could respond. Once the Generals began to heat up, both teams were able to keep it a close game, however, it was the Tigers who led going into half-time up 31-30. Generals were able to go on a run in the second half that the Tigers could not overcome, ultimately sealing the win for the Generals.

Jakemin Abney led the Generals with 16 points on the night going 6-10 from the field and 1-3 from the 3-point range. Adding in 14 of his own, a new face for the Generals, was
Joe Ayo. Ayo was electric tonight turning up the offense with a few dunks, going 6-9 from the field and 1-2 from three. In total the Generals shot 41% on the night compared to the Tigers 36%.Â

The Generals were also able to outrebound the Tigers 45-33.
Kashie Natt led in rebounds for the Generals with 11 boards and
Joe Ayo also was able to chip in by grabbing 8 of his own.Â

th at 4:00 PM.
