HAWKINS, TX- Generals got off to a hot start on Thursday night against the Jarvis Bulldogs, however the Bulldogs were able to pull off a comeback win, scoring 24 points in the fourth quarter, winning 65-57 over the Generals.
Coming off tip-off strong, the Generals led the Bulldogs for the entirety of the first half of the game. During the first quarter alone, the Generals were able to find an offensive rhythm early and went into the half leading 26-20.
Following half-time, it was a game of runs from both sides. Jarvis went on the first quick run in the 3
rd to take the lead over the Generals, 39-30. However, it was
Dannah Martin-Hartwick who sparked things for the Generals with a quick 3 pointer and a floater that ultimately tied the game at 39 points with 4:44 left in the 3
rd.
During the 4
th quarter, the Generals had a close lead of 44-43 to start, but the Bulldogs had another big run that the Generals were not able to overcome.
Floor General,
Raegan Ojoro, served as the primary catalyst keeping the Generals alive throughout the game. Ojoro recorded her first double-double of the season finishing with 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Texas College will be next up for the Generals, as they travel to Tyler, TX this Saturday (1/14) to take on the Steers. Tip off will be at 2:00 PM.
