ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals are now on a 3-game win streak after their win against the Huston-Tillotson Rams with a final score of 78-70.
The Generals were off to a slow start against the Rams, as the Rams outscored the Generals in the first three quarters of the game and kept a 10-point lead against the Generals for most of the game, up until the 4
thquarter where the Generals scored 31 of their 78 points.
With the Rams leading the Generals 53-47 going into the 4
th the next 10 minutes of play were crucial for the Generals. Each team trading baskets as the Generals climbed back,
Jewel Jones hits a game changing three-pointer with 4:33 left to play cutting the Rams lead 62-60 making it a 2-point game now.
Generals sent Mycah McDonald to the line for a free-throw, but then once again
Jewel Jones able to go back-to-back from three tying the game at 63-63. The remaining 3 minutes of the game the Generals were able to make a full comeback with the help of sinking free-throws, stunning the Rams.
Jones finished with 15 points on the night after her two consecutive game changing three-pointers, and leading scorer of the game
Dannah Martin-Hartwick finished with 17 points of her own.
Raegan Ojoro was also big on offense for the Generals as she poured in not only 14 points of her own, but 7 assist on the night.
The Generals will be back in action Saturday, January 21 to take on the Saints of OLLU. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM at The Fort.
