ALEXANDRIA, LA- Make it a 6-game win streak for the Generals as they took down the Saints of OLLU, 74-72.

In a physical game from the tip, the Saints came into the Fort determined to come out with a win over the Generals. The Saints led the Generals for the majority of the first half, with the Generals having to overcome the Saints strong start and lead going into half-time, 41-39.

To start the second half, it was Jo Ayo who answered quick with a three-pointer taking the lead at 42-41. From there it was a dog fight, with Saints able to regain a small lead trading buckets with the Generals. However, it wasn't until there was 12 seconds left to play when Saints, Rob Gil went to the free throw line to tie the game at 72-72. Coming out of a Saints full time out,
Jakemin Abney was fouled and sent to the line, sinking the game winning free throws with only 2 seconds left.Â

Generals had four players with double digits tonight, but it was
Kashie Natt who led the Generals in scoring with 13 points.Â

Generals were also able to win on the glass, out-rebounding the Saints 40-28. Jo Ayo led in rebounding for the Generals grabbing 9 boards, and
JD Allen followed grabbing 7 of his own.

The Generals will be back on the road, heading to New Orleans on January 26
th to take on Xavier. Tip-off is set for 7:30.Â
