The Generals were back at home for more conference play taking on the Southwest Mustangs. After a slow start in the first quarter, the Generals were able to cut it close, but fell to the Mustangs, 67-63.
The Generals were off to a slow start only scoring 13 points compared to Mustangs 21 points in the first quarter. However, they were able to quickly heat up answering to the Mustangs scoring 21 points in the second, trailing at half-time 34-35. After a hard-fought battle, the Generals couldn't go on a strong enough run to pull away with the win.
Amani Gray had another big game as Gray recorded another double-double. Gray had 16 points and 13 boards. Harrison was also able to contribute 16 points of her own, and
Dannah Martin-Hartwick added in 13 points as well. Overall, the Generals only shot 37.3% on the night compared to the Mustangs 44.6% shooting percentage. Generals were able to outrebound the Mustangs grabbing 41 boards on the night compared to the Mustangs 28.
The Generals next game will be on the road taking on Jarvis Christian in Hawkins, TX. The game will begin at 2:00 PM.
