NEW ORLEANS, LA- The Generals now 4-2 on the season, took on the 19
th ranked Wolfpack of Loyola out of New Orleans, LA. Despite a comeback in the second half of play, the Generals fell short 63-69.
The Generals kept the Wolfpack within reach throughout the 40 minutes of play, only allowing the Wolfpack to obtain an 11-point lead during the second period before chipping it back down.
Going into the 4
th period, the Generals trailed 42-46, and 30 seconds into play,
Dannah Martin-Hartwick answered quickly with a three-pointer cutting the deficit into one. With the Generals breathing down the Wolfpacks' neck, they kept chipping, tying the game multiple times within the 4
th and took the lead at one point. However, within the final 2 minutes of the game, shots stopped falling for the Generals as the Wolfpack was able to slip away with the win.
Junior,
Jewel Jones, led the way for the Generals with 21 points, pouring in five three's out of seven.
Amani Gray also saw another double-digit game, as she drained in 13 points of her own.
The Generals will be back at home one last time before Christmas break, returning to conference play against the Mustangs of the University of Southwest for the Military Appreciation game. Tip-off on December 14
