STERLINGTON, LA- LSUA defeat the University of Science and Arts Oklahoma to make it 4 wins from 4 games at the Cajun Collision.
The Generals had a tough start to the game, and the Drovers took a 2-run lead in the bottom of the 1
st. The Generals didn't get on the scoreboard until the third inning, as
Blaise Foote grounded out to the pitcher,
Cameron Daigle advanced to third base, and
Zach Mengarelli scored.
Cameron Daigle then got home himself after
Joshua Tinnerello singled to right field.
The game remained tied until the Generals took over at the top of the 4
th.
Zach Mengarelli doubled to right center, which allowed
Julien Kliebert to score.
Cameron Daigle then made the most important play of the game as he homered to get himself and
Zach Mengarelli home.
At 5-2, the Generals thought they were in control, but the Drovers brought it back to 5-4 at the bottom of the 4
th. This could have been a momentum swing in favor of the Drovers, but LSUA put the game to bed with a fantastic 5
th inning.
Jordan Ardoin started the inning off by hitting a huge home run. The Generals then loaded the bases, and
Alex Guilbeau walked to allow
Joshua Tinnerello to score.
Julien Kliebert then singled to right field which allowed
Bryson Broussard and
Keith McKigney to score.
Alex Guilbeau then made it 10-4 as he got home a couple of plays later. This was the last score of the game, and the Generals finished the weekend with 4 wins from 4 games.
William Vice was the stand out pitcher for the Generals.
Next up for the Generals is a trip to Red River Rivals LSU- Shreveport this weekend.
