ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals (11-15, 10-9 RRAC) came out with a statement win of 95-60 over the Bulldogs after dropping the first match up between the two teams in Hawkins, TX.
During the first quarter of play, the Generals and Bulldogs traded buckets until the Generals clicked that second gear pulling away with a huge run and not looking back going into halftime leading 48-25.
Dannah Martin-Hartwick and
Amani Gray were able to combine for 33 points for the Generals as the team collectively shot 57% overall from the field and shared the ball well as the team had 28 assists on the night.
Alex Harrison and
Kyrie Alldredge were huge from the triple as they both went 3-3 from the three-point range.
The Generals bench also played a big part in the win as they were able to pour in 39 points to contribute to the team win.
"Great win for our team", said Coach Perkins, "Every single girl scored and just played well from start to finish. I'm very proud of the effort and preparation."
The Generals will finish up regular season at home one last time on Saturday, February 18
th as they take on Texas College and will also be recognizing the seniors for Senior Day. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM.
