HATTIESBURG, MS- The Generals went on the road to play a double header against the #12 ranked, William Carey. William Carey was able to get the sweep over the Generals as the Crusaders took both games of the series 1-0. 
 
Both games were battles from the mound, but ultimately resulted in who could capitalize on opportunity. 
 
In game one, the first few innings pitcher, Savannah Boyd and the rest of her defense were able to take down the Crusaders one by one, but the Crusaders were able to come alive in the 4^th. Two singles from the Crusaders and a walk loaded the bases, and an RBI groundout from Albanie Fussell gave the Crusaders the run to take the win. 
 
Fussell was also able to call game in the fourth inning for game two of the double header between the two teams as she delivered yet another RBI groundout bringing in Dee Dee West for their one run of the game.
 
Generals saw a shot during the 7^th inning to take over the game as the delivered back-to-back singles then a sac bunt to put runners on second and third with one out.  However, their threat ended as Crusaders pitcher, Ryanne Hornsby, caused the next two General batters to pop up.
