Natchitoches, LA- LSUA just miss out on a historic win.
LSUA got off to a great start by taking the lead at the top of the first.
Blaise Foote stepped up and singled to center field which allowed
Cameron Daigle &
Zach Mengarelli to score, and put the Generals 2-0 up. NCAA Division 1 Northwestern state were not able to tie it up until the bottom of the 5th, due to some brilliant LSUA pitching. Northwestern took a 5-2 lead at the bottom of the 8th, and many spectators believed that would be the end of LSUA.
In the top of the 9th, LSUA started to play great aggressive Baseball.
Alex Guilbeau, advanced to 2nd,
Jordan Ardoin advanced to third, and
Blaise Foote scored on a passed ball.
Keegan Garcia then grounded out to the short stop,

Jordan Ardoin scored to make the score 5-4. LSUA had one more chance to get the victory, but some good Northwestern pitching sealed the victory for the division 1 program. LSUA had a variety of pitchers last night and all gave a good account of themselves against the firepower of Northwestern State.
Next up for the Generals is a home series against Louisiana Christian University. The first game of series starts Friday, February 24th at 2:00 PM.
