NEW ORLEANS, LA- The Generals fall to Loyola in series opener.
After a great start to the season, the Generals were defeated by the 23rd-ranked Wolf Pack who took the opener 3-1Â at Segnette Field.Â
After 5 scoreless innings, Loyola finally broke the deadlock with two runs in the 6th inning. In the next inning the Generals made it 2-1 with a run of their own, as the in-form Blaise Foote got home. The Wolf Pack made it 3-1 in the bottom of the 7th and sealed victory.
The two teams will meet up back at Segnette Field for two more games on Saturday, as the first pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.
